Connecticut Theatre Company’s “Spotlight On…” series continues with a look into our talented cast and crew of Guys and Dolls. Get to know Julia Leba!
Introduce Yourself to Our Audience:
Hi! I’m Julia Leba and this is the 5th production I have been involved in at CTC. Some most recent ones being Disaster (2019) and Meet Me in St.Louis (2019).
What character do you play?
I am a Hot Box Girl in the show
What makes you most excited about returning to the stage after the pandemic?
I think I’m most excited to be a part of live theater again! I love being a part of any show at CTC, no matter what it is, because of how amazing the cast always is (especially for this show). Rehearsals are always the highlight of my day!!
Who is your favorite character in Guys and Dolls?
I think my favorite character in the show is Miss Adelaide because of how she knows her worth in her relationship and she doesn’t settle for anything less.
What are you most excited for our audience to experience while watching our first production in over a year?
Who inspired your love of the theater? And why?
My love of theater started at a very young age. My mom wanted me to try everything as a kid so I could really pick my interests and after being in dance for a few years prior, I realized I loved theater just as much if not more!
With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls opens June 11th and runs through June 27th at Connecticut Theatre Company. Tickets on sale now!
