Spotlight On: Jason Michael

Connecticut Theatre Company’s “Spotlight On…” series continues with a look into our talented cast of Moon Over Buffalo. Get to know the hilarious Jason Michael…

Please introduce yourself and tell me why you wanted to be in the cast of Moon Over Buffalo?

My name is Jason Michael. After recently wrapping a production of Noises Off; I found myself with an insurmountable case of Farce addiction. Couple that with a hankering to take a journey with a completely new cast and crew and voila, hear I am!

Who do you play in the show and how do you relate to your character?

I’m currently shepherding the character of company lawyer Richard Maynard. He’s described as Lovable, friendly, good looking affable…  I’ll go with that.

What have been some of the funniest moments of playing your character?

Some of the funnier moments while rehearsing with this character have taken place the further above the surrounding nonsense I can urge him to go.

Why should audiences come and see Moon Over Buffalo?

The surrounding cast is so incredibly sweet, giving and talented.  Being part of this group has been nothing short of fantastic. If gauging the show by the comedic level where it presently sits (three weeks out); the lucky folks who come to see it are in for a side splitting ride.

Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo opens March 22nd and runs through March 31st at Connecticut Theatre Company. Tickets are on sale now!
