Connecticut Theatre Company

Spotlight On: Travis Karas

Connecticut Theatre Company’s “Spotlight On…” series continues with a look into our talented cast of Moon Over Buffalo. Get to know the charming Travis Karas…

Please introduce yourself and tell me why you wanted to be in the cast of Moon Over Buffalo?

My name is Travis Karas, I am playing Paul in Connecticut Theatre Company’s Moon Over Buffalo. I wanted to be a part of this cast because of the sense of community I found at Connecticut Theatre Company during my first show there, Little Women. The people are fantastic, and I feel I’ve truly found a home here.

Who do you play in the show and how do you relate to your character?

As I said, I play Paul in the show. Although I feel Paul and I are very different people, what I’m trying to learn from Paul is his positivity. He’s able to find the silver lining in just about any situation. I admire that.

What have been some of the funniest moments of playing your character?

My funniest moment playing Paul was when I mixed up Eileen and Ethel’s name mid-scene. At first, I didn’t even notice! I just kept on going while the rest of the cast was giggling to themselves.

Why should audiences come and see Moon Over Buffalo?

Audiences should come see Moon Over Buffalo because of the tremendous amount of work put into this production by the cast and crew. If you’re looking for a pick me up, Moon Over Buffalo is the place to be.

Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo opens March 22nd and runs through March 31st at Connecticut Theatre Company. Tickets are on sale now!
