The Wizard of Oz to be Performed in Central Connecticut for 75th Anniversary

This year marks 75 years since America fell in love with Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz. This classic movie based on the books by L. Frank Baum remind us all that there’s no place like home. Director Kristianna Smith has skillfully managed to recreate Oz while still maintaining the beautiful themes of the story.

Connecticut Theatre Company produces this delightful family musical, performing for two more weekends at The Repertory Theatre in New Britain. Shows are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm.

Executive Director, Duane Campbell, says “I am continuously impressed by the amount of incredible local talent in Central Connecticut.” The Wizard of Oz is no exception as characters such as Dorothy (Adelaide Meny), Scarecrow (Stephen Michelsson), Tinman (Peter Bailey), and Cowardly Lion (Melvin Swinton) are beautifully brought to life each performance.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the website at www.connecticuttheatrecompany.org.
