The Christmas Schooner Sets Sail, Beginning Friday at The Repertory Theatre

The critically acclaimed holiday show The Christmas Schooner is being performed by Connecticut Theatre Company at the historic Repertory Theatre in New Britain. The Christmas Schooner, based on real life events, tells the story of a Michigan sea captain who risks everything to bring Christmas Trees to German immigrants living in Chicago at the turn of the century. The beautiful musical is a heartwarming reminder of the traditions that helped shape the American people.

The show stars 15 local actors and actresses from Central Connecticut, including Matthew Berry and Erin Campbell (New Britain), Jayson Beaulieu (Bristol) and Ben Stone-Zelman (West Hartford). Director Duane Campbell states, “This is one of my favorite shows to bring to New Britain, it’s message is beautiful and much needed and the story is absolutely wonderful.”

The family friendly musical runs from December 12th – December 21st at The Repertory Theatre in New Britain (23 Norden Street). Tickets are general admission and are $20.00 for adults and $18.00 for seniors. Shows are Friday and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.connecticuttheatrecompany.org or bought at the door the night of the performance.
