Introduce Yourself to Our Audience:

Hello, I am Sam Battle. I am so excited to be a part of the Connecticut Theatre Company this year and participate in the production of Guys and Dolls.

What character do you play?

I play Calvin; Member of the Mission Band, Angie the Ox, Joey Biltmore, Master of Ceremonies, and the Havana Waiter.

What makes you most excited about returning to the stage after the pandemic?

I have been so excited to return to the stage. I have missed working with the wonderful cast and crew and am excited to bring this wonderful production to its completion.

Who is your favorite character in Guys and Dolls?  And why?

My favorite character has to be Big Jule. He came to New York for one reason, to play some crap, and he is determined to do so.

What are you most excited for our audience to experience while watching our first production in over a year?

I am excited for the audience to experience the thrill and wonder of watching the first production since last year.

Who inspired your love of theater?  And why?

My love for theater came from my curiosity and eagerness to try something new and ever since my first show in 2019, I have absolutely loved the feeling of being on stage.

With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls opens June 11th and runs through June 27th at Connecticut Theatre Company. Tickets on sale now!
