Learn More About Our 2020 Season

Connecticut Theatre Company’s inaugural season was in 2014. Now heading into their 6th season of performances at the historic Repertory Theatre in New Britain, the company looks forward to continued growth and improvements. The building has undergone extensive renovations which Executive Director, Duane Campbell, states “will give us the flexibility to improve our offerings and help ensure that our patrons feel comfortable.” On top of enhancements to the company’s technology and equipment, the organization has added cabaret style table seating where patrons are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy before or during the show.

Connecticut Theatre Company recently announced their exciting 2020 Season.

Beginning in March, the group will stage a familiar favorite, Guys and Dolls. This musical fable tells of love and luck in NYC, and the exciting songs and dances are sure to delight audiences.

After that in May will be the musical Nine, based on Fellini’s 8 1/2. Nine tells the story of Guido Contini, an Italian filmmaker who’s struggling to come up with his latest movie and who is haunted by the women who have influenced his life.

In July, there’s La Cage Aux Folles, the Jerry Herman musical with a book by Harvey Fierstein. The story tells of Georges and Albin who run a drag nightclub in St. Tropez. Comedy ensues when Georges’ son announces his marriage to the daughter of a bigoted politician.

Next up in October will be Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None. Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. 

Closing out the season in December is the delightful Holiday Inn based on the film from Universal Pictures with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut… but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance.
