Our Theatre

The Theatre Experience

The theatre experience at CTC is very casual – it’s a very social environment in the lobby and before the show, and people are having a lot of fun. Yet there are some policies to know before entering the theatre performance space that will enhance your playgoing experience, as well as that of your neighbors.

  • Use of cameras and recording devices (including cell phones) is not allowed in the theatre. The best place for your group photos is in the lobby before or after the show.
  • Patrons who need to leave their seats during the performance should use the rear exit of the theatre.
  • All performances begin promptly. While we will make efforts to seat late arrivers or exchange tickets, no refunds are provided for latecomers.
  • While concessions are available for purchase at our Concessions Booth, outside food and beverages may be brought into the theatre. This is especially nice when enjoying one of our cabaret tables!

Attire

We have patrons visiting from many different places of many different ages enjoying the work on our stage. As a result, attire is very casual. Most patrons dress comfortably so they can walk around town or the park before or after the play. Some patrons coming from a nice dinner may be more dressed up, but formal attire is not the norm.

Temperatures and Attire in the Theatre

The theatre itself can be chilly due to air conditioning, so it is always a good idea to have an extra layer just in case, even in the heat of summer.

Seating

Row seating from A-D is General Admission and seats are selected on a first come, first served basis.

Our 12 cabaret tables are reserved seating and can accommodate 2-4 guests per table. Table selections are assigned by purchase date.  If you have a special request, please contact the box office at 860-223-3147 or boxoffice@connecticuttheatrecompany.org.
