Amy’s House

AMY’S HOUSE is a new musical that tells the story of Amy Archer, a Connecticut woman who established one of the first nursing homes in the United States in the early 1900’s. Though her intentions are (quasi) good to start, she soon turns to killing her patients by poisoning them with arsenic in their lemonade.

Featuring strong leading roles for women, “Amy’s House” is thematically simpatico with anti-hero fan favorites like “Breaking Bad,” “Dexter,” “Sweeney Todd,” and “Little Shop Of Horrors.”

We are thrilled to announce that this show was accepted into the Keybank Rochester Fringe Festival and will be streamed live for one performance at 6:30pm on September 18th. Tickets are available to see this performance in person at the Connecticut Theatre Company. This is a staged reading performance (no set, minimal lighting, scripts on music stands, you get the idea…) and we will have a live pit band playing.

Kelly Boucher, Michael Gowdy, Rosanne Gowdy, and Cindy Lesser have worked together since 2016 creating this show! Check out www.amyshousethemusical.com for more information!
