Connecticut Theatre Company’s “Spotlight On…” series continues with a look into our talented cast and crew of Guys and Dolls. Get to know Sarah Ford!
Please introduce yourself and state your role in the show.
Hi my name is Sarah Ford, and I play a Hot Box Girl!
Who is your favorite guy from the Guys and Dolls movie, Nathan Detroit or Sky Masterson? Why?
My favorite guy from Guys and Dolls is Sky Masterson. I like him because he has morals and when he realizes what he has done is wrong, he makes a big effort to fix it.
Who is your favorite girl from the Guys and Dolls, Sarah Brown or Miss Adelaide? Why?
I love both of the girls. They both have this quirky and fun side to them that the audience can fall in love with, and they are both unapologetically themselves.
What are you most excited about accomplishing in your role for this show?
I’m most excited to dance and have fun while dancing. Im excited for the different dances the Hot Box Girls get to do and just see how far I can push myself regarding acting when I’m dancing.
If you could be a part of Nathan’s gang, a Hot Box Girl, a Save A Soul Mission member, or Havana Night Club attendee, what would you choose?
I would definitely be a Hot Box Girl because just like them I love to dance and they get paid for dancing which is something I really would like for my future, whether it be Broadway or freelance.
Tell the people something to get them excited for this show!
You will absolutely fall in love with every character in this show. It will make you smile so much and you will want to dance along to the music!
