Connecticut Theatre Company’s “Spotlight On…” series continues with a look into our talented cast and crew of Guys and Dolls. Get to know Meghan Glynn!
Please introduce yourself and state your role in the show.
Hi! I’m Meghan Glynn, most people call me Meg and I am playing Sargent Sarah Brown.
Who is your favorite guy from the Guys and Dolls movie, Nathan Detroit or Sky Masterson? Why?
Marlan Brando! <3
Who is your favorite girl from the Guys and Dolls, Sarah Brown or Miss Adelaide? Why?
I have to say both women are my favorite. Sarah has strong convictions and beliefs and Miss Adelaide is unapologetically herself. I think we all want to have those kinds of qualities.
What are you most excited about accomplishing in your role for this show?
I’m most excited about working with this cast! I think the talent around a performer elevates the performance and I am so fortunate to be working with this group. I have done this role in the past and I am excited to see how the dynamics bring the characters to life in a new light.
If you could be a part of Nathan’s gang, a Hot Box Girl, a Save A Soul Mission member, or Havana Night Club attendee, what would you choose?
A Hot Box Girl because they seem to have the most fun!
Tell the people something to get them excited for this show!
These are the most talented “Guys and Dolls” you’ll see on stage in Connecticut. This show is about long shots. In gambling, that means taking a bet on the least likely to win. Every character, in their way, is a long shot – and you’ll find yourself betting on each one of them…. and you’re gonna win!
With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls opens March 20th and runs through April 5th at Connecticut Theatre Company. Tickets on sale now!
